Due to unfortunate circumstances, and if we were 

to do it all over again, we never would have done this.

On April 1, 2008, Emmarie Robles adopted

them and lied to us a few weeks later when we

asked her for some photos of them.

​

She posted pics of 2 other cats with similar markings 

on Facebook which were not Spanky or Herbie.

When Georgette saw the post she freaked out and

told her that is NOT Spanky and that is NOT Herbie!

​

She deleted the pics and blocked both of us.

We tried calling her but wouldn't answer.

​

We spent years trying to find out what happened.

We called animal hospitals, cat rescues, searched

craigslist and all lost and found sites with no luck.

​

Whatever happened we will never know and this

will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

​

Spanky and Herbie, please know that we only

wanted the best for you and we are sorry.
